It's Time to Go Organic...

Frequently Asked Questions about Organic Family

Letter from Editor and Publisher C.J. Wong

Upon learning I was pregnant, my entire world changed. I was going to be a mother. That realization brought with it a new responsibility I had never faced before. I started on a journey toward not only motherhood, but a quest for a better life for both my family and Mother Earth. I gave up diet soda cold-turkey and slowly began adding more wholesome, natural, and organic foods to my diet. Of course I knew about these things and had even lectured about them to students when I was teaching zoology, natural history and introductory biology courses. But the fact of the matter is that sometimes we don’t worry enough about the foods we eat and the items we purchase. We rely too much on convenience foods. It isn’t because we are not concerned about the environment. It is because we are completely overwhelmed with going to work, going to school and other responsibilities. Sometimes things we know we should do are put on the back burner.

Welcome to Organic Family, a magazine devoted to learning to live an organic life. Organic Family is not about being perfect, it is about thinking about the changes we can make in our lives that will help us on our way to better health and happiness. Organic Family is about lifelong learning and growing as individuals. The choices we make affect every being on this planet, not just ourselves, so we need to consider them carefully.

Thank you for reading and supporting our efforts. We would love to hear from you and have you join us on our journey.

Respectfully yours,
C.J. Wong
